application of electronics and engine control systems to previously
low technology engines has allowed the powertrain industry to not
only meet legislated emission requirements but to offer tangible
benefits to products including refinement, improved reliability
and diagnostics, and “value add” features allowing for
product differentiation.
Orbital has extensive experience in analysing
problems and developing solutions for engine control. The group
has this depth and breadth of experience as a result of working
with a diverse range of product. Activities range from modelling
of physical problems to complex on engine/vehicle experiments from
which data is gathered and algorithms developed. The group has developed
