Synerject LLC is a 50:50
joint venture between Orbital and SiemensVDO formed to develop and
supply fully integrated fuel systems including those incorporating
Orbital technology. Synerject combines the world-class design, manufacturing
and industrialisation skills of SiemensVDO with the leading edge
technology developed by Orbital. The joint venture provides Orbital
customers with the confidence that the fuel systems and components
they require can be supplied at high volume and quality.
The Synerject joint venture is based in Newport
News (Virginia) in the United States and also has engineering facilities
Toulouse (France). The Newport News premise is located near Siemens'
existing high volume manufacturing facility. Synerject also has
engineering staff resident at customer premises, to ensure that
its activities are closely aligned to the requirements of the customers.
Synerject is able to meet all of the supply
needs of its customers, including fuel pumps, electronic control
units (ECU) and integrated fuel systems and can supply both direct
injection and port injection fuel systems for 2-stroke and 4-stroke
models.
