SYNERJECT ECU IN PRODUCTION IN
CHINA
Production
of the Synerject M3 Electronic Control Unit (ECU) module, designed
for the high volume single cylinder scooter and motorcycle market,
has commenced at Synerject's manufacturing facility in Changchun,
China.
The
new module, which integrates the ECU, throttle body and sensors,
is an integral part of Synerject's Engine Management Systems (EMS)
offered to motorcycle manufacturers around the world for 50 to 250
cc displacement engines.
Electronic fuel injection and EMS - which replaces
the carburettor of previous generations - is currently experiencing
increased take-up in the global scooter and motorcycle markets as
emission standards become more stringent and end user customer expectations
increase.
Serial use of the M3 has now commenced in Taiwan,
and pre-production development is now underway with domestic Chinese
customers.
Synerject, a 50:50 Joint Venture Partnership
between Orbital and Siemens VDO, has established an increased presence
in China. In addition to manufacturing facilities, Synerject opened
a Test & Application engineering Centre in Chongqing last year.
